NEW DELHI: In an attempt to regain its lost market share in the handset category, Finnish major Nokia is planning on a "ramp-up year" in 2013 as it seeks to focus on affordable price levels for its Lumia range to drive growth. The company, which has been losing ground to rivals Samsung and Apple, plans to take on competition with the Asha and Lumia range as its two engines after undergoing a transition phase in 2012, an official said.
"Design is a competitive advantage we have and will be inherent in whatever we do," Vipul Mehrotra, director — smart devices, India and Middle East Africa, said. The company is now planning to focus on strengthening its position in the highend smartphone segment.
