It looks like Chinese smartphone maker Gionee is planning to capture the Indian market within this year itself. We have already seen the advent of company's latest products in the market and now we have the latest Elife E7 mini available in India. Moreover, all the Gionee devices, which have been launched in India has been pretty impressive. The Elife E6 was also not a bad smartphone at all. The Elife E7 has an incredible camera and so does the mini variant of the device. Moreover, the mini variant of the device has a 13MP swivel camera very much like the Oppo N1, which is also available in India. The company recently announced its latest Elife S5.5 smartphone.

This is the world's thinnest phone with 5.5 mm thickness. However, today GizBot has come with a number of online deals pertaining to the company's Elife E7 mini handset. But before heading on to the deals, take a look at the the specs of the device. The Elife E7 Mini comes with a 4.7-inch IPS display with IGZO technology and offers a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It is powered by a 1.7 GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6592 processor with Mali 450-MP4 GPU coupled with 1 GB RAM, and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) with Amigo UI 2.0.
The 13MP auto focus swivel camera with LED flash, which is capable of shooting video at 1080p quality is one thing that will definitely impress you the most. The idea of the camera is very much identical to another Chinese smartphone called Oppo N1 as said earlier. The device houses a 16 GB in-build storage unit and regular connectivity options like 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS can be found in the handset. Additionally the Elife E7 Mini is a Dual SIM phone. The latest phone which measures 8.6 mm thick and weighs 142.9 grams draws its energy from a 2100 mAh battery.

China's Gionee Elife S5.5 could be the slimmest smartphone in the world with its 5.5mm-thin chassis.

BARCELONA, Spain -- If there's one thing I learnt at this year's Mobile World Congress show, it's that sometimes you have to look to the Chinese vendors for surprises. Where Samsung failed to really surprise anyone with the design of its new flagship handset, I found a few gems from the various Chinese manufacturers such as this one from Gionee.
Encased in a 5.5mm-thin metal frame, the Elife S5.5 packs a MediaTek eight-core 1.7GHz processor, a 2,300mAh battery and a 5-inch full-HD (1,920x1,080 pixels) Super AMOLED display.
I don't really know how the company managed to squeeze so much into this thin chassis, but Gionee beats Huawei's Ascend P6 (6.14mm) in terms of slimness.

When I held it in my hands, I was basically impressed with the build quality, but the phone's lightness makes it feel like a toy in my hands.

The handset is powered by Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) but with Gionee's own skin, and gives it a very Symbian/MeeGo like feel. The UI felt pretty smooth and responsive, though.
The Elife S5.5 will be available soon in Taiwan, Southeast Asia, and India. There's no pricing yet but the phone retails for $375 in China, so expect it to retail for around the same price when it debuts in these countries.
The touch-sensitive menu buttons aren't really obvious, and give the impression of more screen space.

Gionee has announced the launch of its new smartphone - Gionee P1 - which features a 3.5-inch display. The P1 is powered by a 1GHz Cortex A9 processor and comes with a 2 megapixel camera. It also has a front VGA camera.
This dual SIM phone has a 1500 mAh battery. The P1 comes has an internal storage space of 512MB; its memory can be expanded up to 32GB. The Gionee P1 will be available in only black colour. It runs Android 2.3 OS and comes with 256MB RAM.
As part of the inaugural offer, the P1 will come packed with a 4 GB SD card, 2 phone cases and a screen protection film. The phone is priced at Rs 4,999.
