Lava International has launched the phone-cum-tablet segment with Iris
501. The devive is priced at priced at R9,999. And comes with a large
5-inch display a display resolution of 800 x 480 and runs Android 4.0
(Ice cream Sandwich) instead of the latest Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean).
Users can avail of Lava Iris 501 preloaded apps, such as Saavn,
Fusion, and Hike along with high-end games, naming Asphalt and Shark
Dash and can download various other business and utility applications
from Lava’s own App store in addition to Google’s Play store. It also
offers free music and video content and access to an exclusive
customised WAP portal for additional content in collaboration with
Hungama.
